

Shir Shoshani
Deputy CEO, Head of the Film and TV Department
Shir Shoshani is Deputy School Director, Head of the film and television department at the Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film School which has been recognized among the leading film schools in the world, on the Hollywood Reporter’s list for seven years in a row. The Sam Spiegel Film and Television School is a visionary cultural institution which prides itself on believing in the power of storytelling.
The four-year study program at Sam Spiegel trains its students in all aspects of film and television studies: directing; cinematography; theory; editing; production and screenwriting. The training is undertaken in stages and under the supervision of leading educators and professionals. The school has a pluralistic approach that affords each student freedom of expression and the ability to tell their story.
Over the years Shoshani has been a mentor to tens of student films and served in 2015 as the head of the entrepreneurial production track at the Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film School.
Between 2006-2020 Shoshani worked as first AD on numerous Israeli and international Film and television productions including Cannes best screenplay winner Footnote (Joseph Cedar 2011); and Natalie Portman’s directorial debut A Tale of Love and Darkness (2015). Shoshani had leading key roles including on international production including SONY’s Absentia, and Netflix’s Hit and Run.
She is a member of the Israeli Film and Television Academy. As the deputy head of the School, Shoshani strongly believes in the power of storytelling and the freedom of expression and creativity.
